Paua Dive Boat
After being approached by a prominent Masterton diving team, Commando Boats started construction of a specialised Paua Diving Boat.
Utilising a Trooper 5.4 Cuddy Cabin as a base, alterations were made to the cabin, by way of a reverse spray deflector, and extensions to both pontoons. Adding an additional length to the pontoon, and positive bouyancy by way of a sealed duckboard, has seen the ability to increase load capacity to well over 1 tonne. Increasing horsepower from our recommended 115hp, new owner Ray Emerson ups the ante to a mammoth150hp!
Ray reports that with 3 divers and maximum payload, his new boat fits the bill, with no problem getting up on the plane, and is easily handled.
